Man's Search for Meaning, by: Dr. Viktor E. Frankl

I chose Viktor Frankl's Book to be the first book I review simply because it left the biggest impression on me this year, since I read it I started to look differently at things, seeing life from a different angle!

what Dr. Frankl's basically tells us in this book is to simply not chase happiness, chase Meaning instead, happiness then will follow automatically, find the meaning of your life and the chances are you won't just be happy but you might also stumble upon success.

''Those who have a why to live for can bear almost any how''

Search and find your ''why'' and all other things will cease to matter from then on, on the other hand if you have no ''Why'' then you'll struggle a lot in a lot of areas, assuming of course that you are not intending to suicide or live just to harm yourself! .

Dr. Frankl explained this and more by sharing his experiences as a prisoner in the concentration camps of Auschwitz and Dachau, and how Death looked very attractive to many prisoners there (himself included) but only few, very few actually chose death on their own will. even though they were suffering at those camps, eating one small piece of stone-like bread and some watery like so-called soup it's only logical and understandable to touch the electric fence for brief moments so that everything will be dark and calm afterwards! but only few chose so. why the majority chose suffering over death, the reason is they had something to look forward to after all this ends, they had parents, spouses, children, unfinished work ... whatever it is they had a reason to suffer and suffering is one of the three forms of meaning in life among love and work, So Life is worth living even when you are suffering as long there is meaning in it.

This is the sum of the book as i understood it and this is all that mattered for me anyway.
